The application of our unique innovation AFT OPT, utilizing newly applied physical and hydromechanical/-dynamical principles for the design of ships’ hulls, makes excellent progress.
After various rounds of technology validation with industry partners, classification societes and flag states, LR-Shipdesign AG (“LRSD”) has signed joint development and shipbuilding contracts with various maritime stakeholders.
Convincing argument:
LRSD guarantees fuel savings of more than 6% due to patented AFT OPT design innovation and we guarantee the main engine power reduction accordingly.
The friction of the hull is reduced due to a hydromechanical suction effect in the ship’s aft bottom area, more energetic watervolume reaches the propeller and rudder (we leave all other parameters such as capacity, draft, speed etc untouched!). That energy is converted into propulsion support.
LR-Shipdesign AG (Mr. Roland Lindinger) and Movena Group (Dr. Volkmar Wasmansdorff) and their partner Carsten Loehmer, MD of LOEWE MARINE, met clients and interested parties during POSIDONIA 2024 in Athens (3 to 7 June 2024). LR-Shipdesign AG signed a contract for a new Joint Development Project w/a large East-Asian shipbuilding group.
LOEWE MARINE designed all AFT OPT rudders for the tank tests since 2019. LOEWE MARINE has vast experience in design and production of special twisted rudders for best holistic AFT OPT performance. Their additional scope includes upgrading the existing fleet w/holistic ship analysis (from scanning, CFD to delivery of design and equipment).
We together are now looking forward to meet clients and business partners during SMM in Hamburg (3-6 Sept. 2024) in order to personally provide more technical information about this world-wide patented innovation and the tremendous OPEX benefit for ship operators.
