The spirit of GL is very much present in our Korean office in Busan. Half of our 16 members’ team remembers their time w/GL, dating back to the 1980s…

We celebrated 5+ years of Movena Korea Co Ltd. in July 2022 and we are looking forward into a bright future. Movena Korea is an employee owned company with senior maritime specialists, est’d early 2017 by former senior GL managers in Korea and Germany.

Our experts and team members work mainly out of Busan Office, however w/assignments to serve clients in Los Angeles (2021/early 2022) and Dubai (2022). We cooperate on local research projects (related to new energy systems; Pusan University) and on implementation of international projects as well (drawing approval for a fuel barge for Tivat/Montenegro; to be built in PR China in 2022/2023).

Movena Korea owns various patents related to rudder stock design, propeller shaft design and propeller/rudder assembly tool for propellers of more than 150 tons weight (“Hi Assembler”).
