AFT OPT in combination w/GILLS air lubrication “micro-bubbles” system

AFT OPT is the validated HULL DESIGN INNOVATION created by LR Shipdesign AG, Switzerland (LRSD).
Results on applied physics: minus 6% main engine power.
Witnesses/Statements of Fact ++ are available: DNV, ClassNK, ABS, LISCR++; Vienna Model Basin, MARIN, HSVA++; TUHH.

Now, the combination of both, AFT OPT plus GILLS micro-bubbles, delivers an excellent combination to save even more fuel, to reduce emission, to save OPEX
LRSD and GILLS (Singapore) have developed a CFD tool for simulation, clearly indicating that underneath of an AFT OPT hull micro-bubbles contribute much longer to the friction reduction between hull and water.
Main reason is the powerful suction effect by LRSD, keeping the bubbles in parallel to z-axis (bubbles do not “escape”) before reaching the propeller disc that is filled with a powerful flow of water towards the rudder. The rudder itself also contributes to the more efficient propulsion. Our (=LRSD) designs of attachments is tailor-made.

We expect that 1+1 =2  but whatever it is: it is more sustainable than alternative solutions due to zero maintenance.
