Movena Korea Co. Ltd. – new own premises in Busan

The spirit of Germanischer Lloyd (GL) is very much present in our Korean office in Busan. Many of our 20+ experts remember well their working time w/GL in the nineties until abt. one decade ago.

Movena Korea expands their Head Office, moving to an own property in the same building in Busan.

We celebrated 8+ years of Movena Korea Co Ltd. in  2025 and we are looking forward into a bright future. Movena Korea is an employee owned company with senior maritime specialists, est’d early 2017 by former senior GL managers and technical experts in South Korea and Germany.

Our experts and team members work mainly out of Busan Office, however w/assignments to serve clients globally in Los Angeles, Dubai, Istanbul, PR China, Australia +++. We cooperate on local research projects (related to new energy systems, hydrogen at 6 Kelvin (!) w/Pusan University) and on implementation of international projects as well (such as drawing approval for a fuel barge for Tivat/Montenegro). Our teams deliver maritime services from newbuilding supervision to repair works of propeller/rudder issues with cofferdam solution to save cost for ship operators, to save drydocking  or towing (always: ship afloat!). Movena Korea owns various patents related to rudder stock design, propeller shaft design and propeller/rudder assembly tool for propellers of more than 150 tons weight (“Hi Assembler”).
